Okay People...

How is Christmas coming, everyone?
I suppose everyone is busy with all the shopping and baking and such but I wanted to add a new blog entry.  Here's a little question entry and hopefully we can get some good feedback.  Here it is...

What is your favorite Campbell family holiday tradition?  Reply in the comments or as a post.

Here is mine...
I have great memories of the puzzles and games and the Chex mix.  I am sure my brain has warped the whole idea a bit, but I just remember having a puzzle up on a table and always having Chex mix around.  And cheese balls.  When we were in Utah, I remember the holiday season that Grandma and I got food poisoning from K-Mart and we ended up in bed for a few days between Christmas and New Years.  That year the 33rd ward was having a late night New Years party and I did NOT want to miss out.  I remember taking some Ibuprofen and going anyway, and having a great time.  That seemed to be one of my favorite New Years with an excitement that has been hard to match over the years.
I hate to be away for the holidays but I love finding ways to make them as enjoyable with as many traditions that I can maintain.  I hope you all are finding all the good fun that the holidays are supposed to bring.  I love you all.

Giving Thanks- Without a Turkey!

Another day has passed here in Nippon (that's Japanese for Japan) and it just happened to be Thanksgiving.  But other than thinking of home and telling maybe two or three Japanese people about this holiday of ours, it was just like any other day - and, I messed up a handful of times today- that set it apart a bit.
Seriously, I wanted to post a few pics and say hello to everyone on this day of days.  I miss the smells of home and playing with the nieces and nephews.  I even miss talking over everyone else's talking.  We are fun.
I am posting a picture and would like to start a "what I am thankful for" list.  Here is mine...
This year I am thankful for this amazing job and experience that has afforded me to pay off my debt and also has brought some great friends into my life.  I am so fortunate to have the things I have and to enjoy the things I do.

So yes, that is the beginning of the list.  Feel free to comment, one and all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Saturday Yard Work with the Guys

Today we worked on the yard, yes, even Gary (aka "sickie") helped. Jesse had fun with the chain saw...he wanted to cut down just about everything in the yard! So we snapped this picture of him. Gary goes to the surgeon on Monday to see when the gallbladder surgery takes place. I'll let everyone know when it happens. -- Big hugs to everyone, Mom
