Good Times Great Oldies!!!

Okay everyone!  I had a funny memory the other day and I was laughing out loud!  I forget so much so when these things pop up, I love as the details begin to creep back in and make what was funny even funnier!
So here is my challenge to you all...
Tell about a funny memory from our childhood.  Anything.  Just something funny from the days of living with Mom and Dad.

Here is mine.  This is the one that had me laughing so hard.

So there was a time in the farmhouse when I was sitting in the living room watching TV.  Jesse was mad at me about something (can't remember what) and was trying to get me to do something.  (don't you love my vague memory)  Well I stood up and was confronting him about it, and I happened to be sitting using his blanket on the floor as I watched television.  Jesse got pretty fed up with me and came to grab the blanket and storm out.  Now mind you, we had wood floors and Jesse was a strong kind even back then.  Well he grabbed the blanket and gave it a good solid jerk.  I happened to be standing on the corner of it and as he jerked it out from underneath me, I did what I call a home alone fall.  My feet came right out from underneath me and I think I had a good amount of hang time before I crashed to the floor.  The best part was Jesse's face, he had a look of terror on his face as he realized what he had probably unintentionally done.  With that, he froze terrified, and ran- afraid of what I might do next.
His face was SO funny.  I don't remember being hurt, just laughing at the whole thing.

So I am sure we have a plethora of stories like this that you all think of time and again and laugh about.  I wanna hear them!
SO please comment or repost and share!

I love you all!!!

33 Days left for me!!!!

So, MY funny story is the time -- remember Heather -- when Heather, Dad and I were in our bedroom at the place in West Valley having a discussion about whatever and Heather's intelligent (and sassy ;o) arguments were getting the best of Dad and I. She turned to run down the hallway and Gary decided to give her a boot in the rear, however, his bare foot connected with the hinge on the doorframe. With a scream he falls to the floor nursing his poor little toe while Heather, with big eyes, and I freeze.... then bust up laughing. I seem to remember us commenting about ...that's what ya get!" I'm sure the details are close but his hurt toe and our laughter are for sure!

SO many great stories to choose from! This one could have ended in disaster, but thank goodness it didn't. Out on the farm with the Honda's I remember Heather & Brian living around the corner in that little house. Heather was pregnant with McKenzie (very pregnant if I remember right) and we had just brought the Honda's home. I can't remember exactly who was outside with us but I believe Ben was holding the handlebars while we each took turns riding slowly around the driveway trying to get used to things. Heather decided to give it a go only when she tried to get on she grabbed a hold of the throttle too hard and the motorcycle TOOK OFF across the yard dragging the pregnant Heather with it!! It reminds me of the Funniest Home Videos! We all felt terrible but couldn't help but laugh at the crazy out of control motorcycle and pregnant lady! Good times, Heather!

I feel like there are so many... I'm constantly telling Jon these stories. Amanda used to refer to West Valley as "Fake Land" because it was hard for her to believe all the fun we had.

Anyway, this is a good one. On the farm... Me, Jesse, and Lacey are sitting in the living room talking. Jesse saw a spider on Lacey and told her where it was. SHE FREAKED!!! As she's jolting around, screaming slash crying, the spider goes down her shirt... so she rips her shirt off! Then she thought it went into her pants, so she rips those off too! Jesse's face was priceless and I couldn't see through my tears of laughter!! I still can't!! LOL!

I'm also remembering 2 funny scenes of Jesse. One of the video we have of Jesse's first time on the tow rope at Bogus. He fell and wouldn't let go of the rope. We were all yelling, "Jesse let go", but he refused as it was dragging him up the hill! LOL!

Another of Jesse. Dear, dear Jesse. Remember the jump from the curb to the minivan in Florida? Jesse gave a running leap at the door and missed by about 5 inches. That was funny, but was it as funny as when I blacked out after walking into Mom and Dad's sliding glass door? Jesse does that impression perfectly - huh Bud... LOL!

Okay...to clear up some details on the spider story.
Us three little kids were home alone and there was a HUGE spider on the old brown recliner. None of us were brave enough to kill it so we all just said "no one sit in the chair". We keep playing and later forget about the spider and sit down to watch some t.v. Lucky me...I sat in the chair and the spider crawled down my shirt. Yes, I did tear my clothes off and screamed like I never have before...but my favorite part about the whole thing was Jesse screaming from the couch with the blanket over his face saying "Lacey put your clothes back on!"

One of my favorites was once again...us three little kids were home alone at the Time Zone house and were bored, so we took blankets and duct taped the corners to our wrists and ankles and jumped off the balcony onto the trampoline pretending to be flying squirrels!!!

I have another... I remember one time Dad and Josh came to pick me up from Amanda's. When they arrived in the van, Josh was clear in the back, and apparently upset. I found out that Dad (who was driving) asked Josh to roll down his window so Dad could throw out his apple core. Well, Dad missed and hit Josh in the side of the face! LOL! Sorry Josh, but that's funny!
